Breakfast is same as last night, Rara Noodle Soup, thought that others are just too difficult to swallow while having sore throat. Found out that sore throat and cough are common at high elevations, it's probably the result of deeper respiration. This causes mouth breathing, allowing more cold, dry air to bypass the warming and humidifying effects of breathing through the nose. Back to room after breakfast, it's put on those icy cold clothes again, couldn't image how will it be take off all the clothes for changing in Lobuche and Gorak Shep. Good weather in the morning, Taboche Peak be seen as clear as the blue sky, but the breeze from the mountain is shivering cold.
Today is acclimatization day, one can choose between Chhuking Village or trek to Nagartsang Peak that have higher elevations to gain some altitude then back to Dingboche in the same day.
Island Peak as seen from Dingboche, it's also called Imja Tse. The peak was named as Island Peak since it apprears as an island in a sea of ice when viewed from Dingboche. The peak was later renamed to Imja Tse but Island Peak remains the popular choice.
Yaks are busy looking for breakfast in the bush.
Lhotse, the Eight Thousander on the left, there is a big gap Lhotse and the 6189m Island Peak. Lot of climbers came to climb Island Peak during Spring and Autumn, some will train them self at Island Peak before heading for Peak XV.

About one hour trek, Mr. Lopes stop at here, they are returning to Dingboche, his guide say today is rest day, don't make your self tire.
Main peak of Ama Dablam looks like a silver pyramid from here.
Arrived at Dusum, Sushil say "We trek until here than go back to Dingboche OK? May be Chhukung don't have good view of the mountains, and you have headache today, rest here, drink some tea, then we go back."
Chhukung is about 1KM away from Dusum, but it's strong and cold wind today, going back Dingboche after this anyway.

Everest can not be seen from Dusum and Chhukung, she has been blocked by Nuptse at south face.
Island peak at the east, with 6189m height that shorter than Ama Dablam, even looks tiny as compare with Lhotse on her west. But still there are lot of people came for her as it is consider an easy to climb peak that over 6000m.

It's really cold to walk in the cold windy day, almost vomit because of coughing on the way back.
Guide from others group said the local store their potatoes by bury them underground, so that they have supply during winter.
Sushil said they are picking up those spoiled potatoes and bury them. But it's much like they just digging up the buried potatoes from the ground, because the potatoes woudln't be scattered around as if one want to bury them.
Back to the lodge, paralyzed on the couch in the dinning room, don't even want to go back to the room. Ordered Rara Noodle Soup again for lunch, no appetite at all, think that the menu is no nice. Mr. Lopes just came back, he went to Cyber Cafe on his way back to Dingboche. He'd checked the forecast in Dingboche, said that it's -7°C at night, it's too cold!
After lunch, asked for some hot water and buy 2 hours charge for camera battery that cost Rs700, which is about RM26, expensive.... handover the charger and batter to the owner then back to room, ate 2 Panadol then slept until 3pm.
Also taking Rara noodle soup for dinner, then sit around in the dinning room to get some warm from the heater. Get some night shots before going to bed, the moonlight makes the snow-capped so bright as it is like in the day time.
Being arranged to sleep in a row of rooms at the back yard of the lodge, Ama Dablam can be seen very close right outside the room.
