Only 6 hours sleep, woke up at 4:45am, check the temperature in the room, it's 10°C. Put on a layer of jacket and looking for a good spot for the stars, check the outdoor temperature after a while at outside, it's only 1°C, how about the temperature at higher altitude? Kusum Kanguru can be seen from here too.
The sky turns bright after 30 minutes of shooting, back to room packing at 5:21am.

Majority of the resident in higher altitude of Solukhumbu are Sherpa people, Buddhists, this is a censer outside the window, there is burnt pine needles in it.
Tibetan Bread and Masala Chiya for the breakfast. Start the trek at 7:30am today, big backpack is 14.68kg, day-pack is 9.25kg, and Sushil has his own bag in 4kg, which mean he have to carry 19kg, still have to lead the way, how hard is his job?
In the morning, Kongde can be seen at the west, and there is an unknown mountain at the west. It's cold in the morning, lots of Mani stone and Stupa along the trekking route, it's just that the sun haven't lit on the mountainside, the mountain at the background are overexposed.
Arrived at Phakding after 40 minutes, didn't stop for break, because have to trek to Namche Bazaar today, hence save the time and trek slowly to Namche.
Lots of suspension bridge today, looking forward to Hillary Bridge.
It's warm under the sunlight after the bridge, rather to being tanned than cold in the mountain. One should follow left when passing through a Mani stone, just like the prayer wheel, walk through in clockwise direction, but nowadays lot ignored the custom, people walk through from right when there is difficult to climb.

Came to a village called Toktok, a very clean river.
Will you take a shower here if it's not that cold in the mountain?
Thamserku can be seen after Phakding, can't wait to see Ama Dablam too. But when Sushil ask others what's the name of this mountain, they said it's Kumari Peak.
A new house in progress, it's took lots of effort for the port to carry up the woods, but for the rocks can be found on the mountain slope, then they carve them in to appropriate shape to make the wall.
A check post at Chhumuwa, it's very straight here, he is standing there to make sure each trekking has registered them self at the check post.
It's still fine for the ups and downs, arrived Monjo at 10:19am, this is the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park, one have to pay Rs3000 for the entrance, which is RM111, very expensive. But it's included in the trekking fees, Sushil will pay it. October is the peak season to trek in Nepal, tourist are unexpectedly a lot here.
PS: "Sagarmathan" is the local name of Mt. Everest in Nepal.
Which year you graduated? How many people in your class?
The list on the right is the name of the lodges and tourist spot.
Tourist spot:
A) The Hillary Memorial View Point
B) SNP, KBZUC Information Center
C) Khumjung Gomba (Monastery)
D) Khumjung High School
E) Khunde Chamkang
F) Khunde Hospital
G) Meditation Cave
H) Bird Sanctuary
I) Mt. Khumbila
J) Hillary Park
There are several reason why you should plan to visit Khumjung and Khunde village:
> Khumjung & Khunde are 350m higher than Namche Bazaar. By spending over night here, you will acclimatize further higher treks.
> You will experience mountain environment, peaceful surrounding amidst thriving Sherpa culture.
> Lodges have attached bathrooms, common rooms, hot shower, internet, telephone and fax, bakery cafe, laundry service and spacious camping site.
> Most importantly, you will experience how local Sherpa culture has adapted new ways.
> Khumjung & Khunde are different from other villages for scenic beauty where villages blended into harmony with nature.
Real long bridge at Jorsale
Stop at Jorsale for lunch after the bridge at 11:07, thought it would takes up to an hour for preparing the food, because last year in Jomsom Muktinath Trek always took an hour of wait.
Dal Bhat with Chicken Curry is ready in 15 minutes.
Continue on trek after lunch at 12pm.
Mani stone along EBC route
MISSING PERSON - STILL MISSING
ZISIMOS SOUFLAS has been missing now since April 24th, the date he was last seen in Namche Bazaar. He had stayed at the Hotel Tibet in Namche on the night of the 23rd, and left there on the 24th to go to Everest Base Camp. He has not been seen since.
Prior to this he left Kathmandu on the 18th April. He took a bus to Jiri, and walked from there to Namche, checking in to the Sagarmatha National Park on 23rd April.

There is a REWARD: 100,000 RS for information which leads to his safe return.
Saw Hillary Bridge that hang high on the cliff after 30 minutes trek, a challenge today after crossing the bridge, a zig zag route on the slope to gain 600 meters altitude until Namche Bazaar.
The joining point of 2 rivers (Bhote Kosi and Imja Khola), one is from Gokyo, and the other is from Chhukung
Sometime he's pulling hard and fast, it's difficult to breathe when climbing in fast pace at this altitude.
The sun is fierce, but it's not hot at all, would rather trek under the sun than hiding in the shade.
If you are wondering is it tire to trek to EBC, unless you are stronger than a cow....
This is Dzong, not Yak, it is crossbreed between cattle and Yak, they don't have long hair like Yak.
Been doing some reading before came to Nepal, hence knowing that there is a view point to see Peak XV while on the way up to Namche Bazaar.

Peak XV, Nuptse, and Lhotse are connected to each other, Peak XV seems hiding at the back from this angle.
Map of Namche, will staying at the center of Namche today, everywhere is walking distance once arrived Lukla isn't it?
There are 72 of them, doesn't seems heavy, but it's not easy to carry when it took a huge space at one's back.
Children near by Namche, not sure what are they looking at, but when they saw a tourist with camera, they will say "No photo, no photo". Gave them each one a toy car, they are very happy to have it.
Entering Namche Bazaar, the mountains around it have already been covered by the clouds, will only be able to see them by tomorrow morning, but it's fine, will spend 2 night here.
Buddha eyes at Namche, watching Namche quietly and peacefully.
It's been long time for Namche to have market for items selling, now it happen on every Saturday. Namche has developed into a town with merchant store, outdoor equipment shop, money exchanger, bank, pharmacy, hair salon, bookstore, cyber cafe, bakery, cafe, bar, and so on.
Arrived the lodge at 2:45pm, get a room that right outside the entrance to the lodge, it doesn't seem use to be a bed room here.
There is a portion of big rocks to sleep togather, but there is a power socket in the room, and it is free to use, but Sushil will arrange another room tomorrow since complaint that it will be cold to sleep a room that's outside of the lodge. Shouldn't have bargain to get Rs50 discount for the hot shower, as it's just RM2 difference after discount, which originally was Rs300, and now became Rs250.
Not sure whether it is because of the shower, feeling like having fever now. Whether it is or not, will not take any shower for next several days until coming back to Namche....
This lodge being operate by a brothers from Dhading, heard that people from around Dhading are working in Tourism and Trekking field, they are either running tourism business, lodging business, guide, or porter. The elder brother is laying on the bench watching TV, whereas the younger brother is talking on the phone with his HUAWEI tablet phone, both of them look alike to each other.
Dinner - Chicken Fried Rice
Sushil said he want to meet a friend before the dinner is ready, then the dinner came 30 minutes late, and came after 2nd remind to the boss. It's crowded in the lodge, there are trekkers from Vietnam, Japan, and German, thought that nobody speak Mandarin here, but it's not true. Back to room after dinner, Sushil send me the blanket later as requested earlier.
