3rd day in the mountain, woke up in a 9°C room at 3:45am, check the sky from the window and saw lots of stars in the sky. How could one not wake up to take a picture of this starry sky? There is a space right outside the room, it's a outdoor dinning area during day time, but the tables and chairs have been move to the dining room in the lodge during night time as the temperature is low. Dare not to stay long outside, because it is below 0°C out there, it's better to stay in the room. Hence, back to the room and monitor the camera from the window after setup the camera for time-lapse shooting.
The sky is very clear during autumn, saw lots of shooting stars, nearly up to 20. Kongde Ri unveil her self as the sky get brighter, she is just opposite of Namche. Kongde Hotel is on the ridge right below Kongde Ri, one have to trek 2 days from Namche to Thame, and climb up the steep slope to the ridge, or else, by helicopter. It must be costly to spend a night over there.
Kongde Ri is in golden when lit by the sunrise, in Sherpa language, "Ri" means "Peak", thus it also called Kongde Peak.
Apple Pancake for the breakfast, quite a big one, it's delicious even without honey.
7:40am, done packing up the daypack for today, it's acclimatization day, thus will trek to higher altitude and back to Namche for another night. Normally people will trek to a Japanese-owned hotel called Everest View Hotel for a excellent view point of Peak XV and other mountains, then back to Namche. Some people will trek to the near by villages called Khumjung and Khunde, which also known as Twin village or Green Valley. Decided to trek to Khumjung and Khunde, so that no need to take the same route back to Namche, at the same time to get a different view around Namche.
Able to overlook Namche in "U" shaped after about 20 minutes trek, opposite Namche is Kongde Ri, whereas Thamserku is at the east (Thamserku on previous picture).
It's not easy to trek to Everest View Hotel, though the daypack is carry by Sushil, still gasping for breath on the steep slope.
Lots of little blue flowers called Gentian Flowers can be seen around Namche.
"SAVE THE MUSK DEER"
Musk deer is endanger and protected animal in Nepal.
There is a airport called Syangboche Airport right above the slope, but hasn't seen any flight around.

Plants and mud are still frozen under the shade.
Came to Everest Sherpa Resort at Syangboche, a big gasp when seeing Khumbila, Cholatse, Taboche, Nuptse, Peak XV, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku surrounded by.
Portion of peak on the left is Cholatse, the rest is Taboche Peak
Looking down, there is a Chorten below the slope, it's a memorial Chorten of Tenzing Norgay, and the route to Tengboche.
Think that it is awesome to have a picture here with the snow capped mountains, it's like one can touched the mountain by stretching out his hand.
Yellowish autumn field on the way to Everest View Hotel.

While enjoying the view near by Everest View Hotel, a helicopter appeared. Sushil asked "Where is it going?", just a second after the question, Sushil realized that the helicopter flying toward here. A white circle formed by rocks with a "H" inside of it just around the feet. 2 run immediately like the monkeys being attacked toward the other side of the slope.
Helicopter fly over the head, sending dust and ash as a gift....
Then it park on the apron
A fly around the mountains in Sagarmatha Park cost USD750.
Why not you tell me their name this round? Arrived the outdoor dinning area in Everest View Hotel, Villages on the mountainside and ridge can be seen from here too, they are Mong, Portse, and Tengboche.
Ama Dablam 6812 meters, Ama Dablam means [Mother's Necklace]. She can be seen from different angle for several days along the EBC Trek.
Ordered a pot of Lemon Tea and asked for 2 cups, it must be great to enjoy tea and book here everyday with the bright sun. A pot of Lemon + Tea cost RM18.50 at Everest View Hotel above Namche Bazaar. At the backgroup, we can see Taboche Peak, Nuptse, Peak XV, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.
Depart for Khumjung and Khunde Village by 10:08am, it is just behind the Hotel. It is a loss if one not visit them when he is already here. Almost all lodges in Khumjung and Khunde Village have their roof in green, hence they being called Green Valley. There is a mist that Yeti have visited the village, even there is a Yeti scalp kept in the monastery, but it has been proven that it's actually part of a dried shoulder of a yak or serow.
While try to take a picture of Dzong or Yak, Sushil will remind that not to get too close to them, as not all of them are tame. Actually Yak/Dzong will look at you while you get closer to them, with a sharply pointed horn facing you.
Statue of Sir Edmund Hillary, the founder and patron of Khumjung School. Sir Edmund Hillary has once said the greatest satisfaction for him is not the top of the world he has climbed and not the two poles he has explored but the schools and health clinics he has built for his Sherpa friends and helping to keep these work continue in future is the greatest respect for him.
Leaving Geen Valley and trekking back to Namche by descending from Syangboche, clouds rose below Kongde Ri in afternoon, it's always clear in the morning here, but clouds came in the midday.
Viewing Namche Bazaar from the west
Didn't take a look inside Namche Monastery
It's 12pm when back to the lodge, change to another room at upper floor, much cleaner, but there is no power socket in the room. Today lunch, Steam Chicken Momo that looks like Chinese Dumpling, it looks and taste good, yet to tried fried Momo.
Let's see the stuffing, there is some vegetable.
1:48pm afternoon, wander around Namche Bazaar, you can get almost everything in this store, but the price is much expensive here. Checked the price of the apples on the left, it's from Rs250(USD 2.50) to Rs400(USD 4.00) for one, which is RM9.25 to RM14.80 for each.
Looking for internet service here, notice there is one stated Rs20 per minutes, which is around RM1 per minute. Found another one with Rs200 for 30 minutes, but their computer unable to decode Chinese character, eventually came to a cafe with WiFi. Paid Rs220 for a cup of hot chocolate, and still have to pay another Rs200 for 30 minutes WiFi.
Spend 2 nights in this lodge - International Foot Rest. There is hair salon and money exchanger at the lower floor. Cafe that opposite the lodge, illy, the Italian coffee is available here. Came back to the lodge by 3:14pm, feeling heat at forehead, didn't take shower today but still not feeling well, may be there is nothing to do with the shower?
It's warmer in the dinning room, guests gathered around here before dinner. There is a group of Japanese above 50 year old at next table, they are heading to EBC, always met them on the route, they looks healthy and energetic.
Ordered Chicken Sizzling for dinner, it's smoky and the oil is spattering around, it's a big dinner. There is a group of young Malaysian in the lodge tonight, didn't get a chance to say hello to them, they went back to their room soon after the dinner. Get back to room after dinner at 8:25pm packing up some of the stuff and prepare for tomorrow trek to Tengboche.
