Departed at 6:53am, can you see the white portion between the peaks? Most thought that is Cho La Pass, but it is not. Cho La Pass was on the right, but its blocked by the hill right in front of us.
Cholatse is the one on the left.
A little part of Cho La Pass can be seen here.
Camping in the wild, the 1st class experience of nature.
After 1 hour, we just arrive at the foot hill of Cho La Pass.
Cholatse was on the right, the middle was Ama Dablam.
Here comes the toughest part, though it is much easier than climbing up from the other side from Thagnag.
We all rest for a while before hiking up to the steep slope, Đong is distributing chocolate to everybody.
Can you found someone among the rocks?
It seems like we are stand same height with Cholatse.
Just finished the steep slope, it would be much easier after this.
The ice wall of the glacier on Cho La Pass, it will disappear one day.
Some people Lonely Planet would advice to wear crampon while trekking on Cho La Pass, but look at Sushil, he just wearing a normal sport shoe.

Was dancing while trekking on the ice, as Sushil is playing music from his phone, but then he kept turning around and tell me walk carefully, don't dance.
Almost reaching the end of the Cho La Pass.
There's the end of Cho La Pass, the lowest point to cross the range.
An ice lake on Cho La Pass, Sushil went down without waiting me, hence I have to climb up from the other side.
Finally did it, crossing Cho La Pass via Dzongla.
The west side as view from Cho La Pass, can you see Tibet over there?

Experience the glacier
It's just around 11am then we descend to Thagnag, then Dong said "Let go Gokyo by today!"
Loose rocks are scattered around the steep slope, it is even much difficult to climb up if there is snow.
Takes about 25 minutes to reach at foothill, Sushil tell me to wait while I've arrive at foothill as he was chatting with others and not realize that I have walk so far.
Lots of Tibetan Snowcock at the foothill, they like to hide under the shade. Beside Tibetan Snowcock, we also saw a Yellow Weasel, but it ran away very fast.
The wide valley to Thagnag.
Cho La Pass is on the right, lies at the lower part between 2 peaks.
Another face of Cholatse, we almost walk around of it.
Last hill before Thagnag, one last view of Cho La Pass.
We will follow the stream till we reach Thagnag.
Arrived Thagnag, some will chose to rest one night in Thagnag as recommended by the common itinerary.
Feel sleepy after one and half hour rest and lunch in Thagnag, now continue to
Gokyo by crossing Ngozumpa Glacier.
Trail scattered with Sea buckthorn plants.
The mild scent as we experienced on the way to Dzongla can be smell here, same plants are scattered around here too. The 6th highest peak on earth - Cho Oyu can be seen here, Tibet lies on the north of it.
Ngozumpa Glacier, the largest glacier in Nepal.
A huge lake on Ngozumpa Glacier, some rocks or ice cracking sound can be hear, but can't really know where is the source came from.
The moraine sank right in front of us, it was like the quicksand. Then Sushil said "It's not safe here ah? We better walk fast.". I am already exhausted here, how to walk fast and to climb the slope further in front?
It was just a little part of the lake that we saw just now, the sun has go down, its getting cold and the clouds came up. Luckily we have finished crossing the glacier.
Now we see Gokyo, the 3rd lake is on the left, and Gokyo Ri with elevation 5360m lie beside the lake.
Will spend two nights in this lodge in Gokyo, knowing that a friend who crossing from Renjo La Pass also arrive Gokyo by today, but not sure which lodge he is going to stay and also not sure he will follow his itinerary to arrive Gokyo in time.
