It wasn't really cold last night, may be it's because there is another person in the room, that's why warmer. There wasn't any good sleep until 12 midnight, then it is quite good until 4am. Mr. Lopes only went to toilet once, though he said that he will going to toilet quite frequent. Woke up around 4:30am, think that should go out and shoot some picture of starry night as it is not easy to trek Tengboche. While prepare camera for shooting, Mr. Lopes turns on the light and say "It's much easier", think must have wake him up while preparing the gear.
Outside, the tables, chairs, and tent that Sushil slept in have been covered with thin frost, it must be very cold in there. Sky is breaking around 5am, it's cloudy, may not be a good time to take picture.
Soon, the clouds have gone, and the chanting sound from the monastery can be hear from the lodge.

Done packing by 6:30am and waiting for breakfast in the dinning room, it's not as crowded as last night, may be some choose to depart late in the morning, and some has already left. Breakfast is Tibetan Bread, it's difficult to cut and chew as it is quite stiff.
It's possible to spend a night at Debuche if there are no more bed Tengboche.
Sunshine across the bridge
It's not as tired as yesterday, as majority are slow slope.
It's white all the way to Pangboche, it's beautiful to see some red and yellow leave that covered by snow.
It's warmer in Pangboche as the sun is getting fierce, Peak XV, Nuptse, Lhotse can be seen from Pangboche, whereas Ama Dablam is always on the right.
Everest will not be seen after Pangboche as it is blocked by Nuptse.
Will trek to the west face of Ama Dablam today.

Trekking along Imja Khola toward Dingboche
9:55am, a short break at Shomare, don't want to be as tire as yesterday while trekking up to Tengboche, hence trek slowly today. Shomare was marked 4010m on the map, further up Dingboche is 4410,, it's higher than Mount Kinabalu. Thus, have a good rest before breaking the record, have some tea.
A little ascend after Shomare, then follow by a descend to the riverbank at the conjunction of rivers, cross a bridge, then Dingboche is right behind the hill.
"The view is wide opened after Orsho, a plateau surrounded by 8000 meters high mountains can be seen with a glance, nothing is growing around beside shrubs, the feeling of heroic comes spontaneously as thought we are one of the member from the Everest Expedition Team."
Quote from an article written by Taiwanese trekker, it's beautiful. Cho La Pass and Gokyo were added to the itinerary after refer to that article.
Dingboche was marked as 4410 meters on the map, international call and Internet is available here, it's much bigger than Tengboche. Beside solar power system, wind power system also being used.
Arrived Sherpa Land Lodge at 11:36am, altitude is written 4350m here, and it's higher than Mount Kinabalu. Took about 4 hours on the trek, Sushil said it's fast.
Potato Cheese Momo and Garlic Soup for lunch. Potato Cheese Momo doesn't taste good, felt itchy after eating, that make the sore throat even worse, and the Garlic soup is tasteless.
Back to the lodge, rest on the dinning room together with books and camera, listening to few Australian that sit and chatting on the opposite. There a couples from Sydney, they've just resigned from their job to begin a 12 months long holiday from EBC. On the other side is a group of women at, there are all colleague of each other, the one has the shortest holiday is 4 weeks. Guess they merely could call a 4 weeks off "A Holiday".
There a group of Vietnamese and stayed at the same lodge at Namche came in to the lodge around 3pm, not sure they have visited what other places that make them arrive Dingboche after lunch hour. They sit at the empty place beside as the room is already crowded, a lady from the group asked "Are you came from China?", she is speaking in Mandarin, and she also can read Chinese. After some talks, knowing that she's studying Mandarin for 4 years while she is in University, that's why she can speak and read in Chinese. They are also heading to EBC, and going to cross Cho La Pass for Gokyo after EBC, that will take them 17 days to finish the trek, but something happen on the way, we have the same itinerary eventually. Their leader went to Poon Hill trek with another group before came for EBC, he will spend some days in his guide's village to celebrate Tihar Festival after his group has left Nepal, and that will took him about a month in Nepal.
It's very crowded in dinning room during dinner hour, Sushil and Mr. Lopes' guide (Bishnu) are not around the lodge, hence the dinner is order by the helper in the lodge. Having bad appetite since tonight, hence only ordered RaRa instant noodle soup, Sushil and Bishnu appeared after the dinner is finished. It's too crowded in dinning room, back to the room soon after dinner, it's very cold inside the room made of thin wooden broads, there is no light, it takes quite an effort to reach to the room. It's only 6°C in the room, dark and cold, borrowed Mr. Lopes one of my head lamp as he did not has one. Wonder is it because of cold, heart beating fast and taking gasp after return from the toilet. At night.... couldn't sleep well, feeling dizzy and headache. It's dry in nose, mouth, and throat, woke up several times around 10pm, 12am, and 4am. It's a long night, the temperature in the room dropped below 0°C, it is true that it is colder when snow is melting than is snowing.
